Hi, I'm Hannah.

As an editor with 7+ years of experience in editing, publishing, acquisitions, and more, there is nothing I love more than getting my hands on someone's work and making it sing, and be the best it can be within the vision you have for it. I love stories that need to be told, ones that haven't been told yet, and ones where the passion in the writing is palpable.

Quick Look:

- 6 years of formal education: (BA in Creative Writing, MFA in Writing/Publishing, NYU Publishing Institute Program Alum, Agate Academy Publishing)
- Literary Magazine Industry Experience: The St. Lawrence Review, The Laurentian Magazine, St. Lawrence University Magazine (800k yearly readers), The Adirondack Review Crook & Folly, Slag Glass City, Raging Opossum Press
- Book Publishing Industry Experience: Big Shoulders Books Press, Sibylline Press, Raging Opossum Press

A look at your project as a whole

Developmental editing doesn't look at your project line by line like copyediting. Instead, we look at large-scale areas to return to in your manuscript: inconsistencies, plot holes, pacing troubles, patterns in your writing. We address what your project may need structurally. Developmental edits from me include margin notes and a thorough editorial letter outlining what is working in your manuscript and what to return to, giving you a clear path of your next revision from a fresh pair of eyes that have experience and market knowledge.

Books I've Developmental Edited:

Scream From Chicago, IL by Justin Finley
Monsters, Clowns, and the Holy Fool by Satori
The Route 66 Detective of Missouri by Micki Pierce
Triple Threat: The Story of a 1920s Broadway Star by Leisha Douglas
All Things Hidden by Lesley Miles
Druid Hill: A Veil of Time Novel by Claire McDougall
